Pushing forward on the second task. Not as easy as you might think to decide 51 Paths. Here is how i’m breaking this down into six Journeys. I’ll get to the individual Steps once I’ve put the pages up.
The Arsenal will be the things I will need to finish this. An armory, if you will. Five in total, the Paths it contains are Drum Set, Recording Studio, Study, Survival Gear, and Training Equipment. A strangely peaceful combination to be sure, but ideas are the most dangerous thing of all.
The Library is a repository of information to train and inspire myself. It will range from film to music to print. Paths include Biographies, Classical Music, Discographies, Documentaries, Fictional Works, Films, Musical Albums, Non-Fiction, Reference, Religion and Occult, Self Improvement, Sequential Art, and Video Collections.
The Mask will probably be the most time consuming. Certainly the most difficult. Here the battles of living in a society that hates and detests me will be fought. Legal, financial, physical – every kind of battle I can think of. Every victory i’ll need to ensure my future. I called it a Mask because this isn’t me, this is the face I need to show the world. My documents, my papers, my credentials. Make no mistake, this is not an attempt at deception. Quite the opposite. This is my showing the world exactly what I am in the only language a society of collectivists can understand. Whether its the Paths of Debts, Finances, Home, Legal Issues, or Vehicle I will wear a Mask among them and leave my Mark wherever I go.
The Metamorphosis has many parts. It is mainly physical changes I will forge of myself. Certain issues of health and stamina are to be addressed, as is repairing the damage of a life lived without care has wrought. My clothing and style are also factored here. New clothes and a new style can change your perspective quickly and i’m need of a certain perspective change. This is another chapter in my life, and I need to become who I must. This is the second act. Time for a costume change. The Paths on this Journey are Body Modification, Building, Calisthenics, Clothing, Conditioning, Endurance Program, Jewelry, Outerwear, Pants, Sculpting, Shirts, T-Shirts, and Yoga Study.
The Origin is harder to define. I’m not sure I will in public, to be honest. These are things of a personal nature. Family matters, if you will, given a context and importance of religion. This Journey will include the Paths of Exorcisms, Moonchildren, Scarlet Woman, Sigils, and Totems.
Everyone has to have a central morality, and The Signal is mine manifested through art. I started this story back in 2007 and it has been malformed and rewritten over and over. This time i’m done. Time to complete this and move on to something else. I didn’t really get to figure out myself until this summer past. Time to define it through reflection. The Paths to complete this particular Journey are Act One, Act Two, Act Three, Act Four, Act Five, Design, Internet Presence, Products, Research and Development, and Soundtrack.
